Rrr! I'd totally roll my R's if I could.

So now that Melyssa and I have worn out all our TV on DVD (any suggestions?  Just finished Big Love, Dexter and L Word) we've taken to doing puzzles in bed.  Not those kind of puzzles, crosswords, sudoku and word puzzle types.

Last night I tried a new type of puzzle, called "Sounds Like".  It's your standard word search, but instead of a list of words to look for it gives you a homophone, like "Horse" so in the word search you find "Hoarse".  Get the idea?  Genes for Jeans, Knight for Night, etc.  If you don't get it, don't do this puzzle.  

It really wasn't hard, but there were two that I just could NOT figure out.  

Sauce.

Court.

And it was driving me up the fucking wall.

I know you're trying to figure it out now, did you get it?

Because I couldn't.  So I gave in and asked Melyssa.  Without skipping a beat she had the answer for me.  

"Honey, what would it be for Sauce?"

"Sauce?  Sauce."

"Excuse me?"

"All I can think of is Sauce.  S-O-U-R-C-E."

It made perfect sense to her.   Because Australian's don't fucking pronounce the letter R.

So did you figure out Court yet?

Well obviously, it's Court.  C-A-U-G-H-T.  

And you know what?  She was right.  

And while we're on this subject, will the Americans please clear this up for us?  How do you pronounce the word "Been"?  As in, "I've been there."  

Is it pronounced the same as Ben or Bean?
